My Tennis Coaching and British Tennis Coaches Association Announce Strategic Partnership
My Tennis Coaching has today announced a new strategic partnership with the British Tennis Coaches Association (BTCA), aimed at strengthening coach education, increasing access to high-quality professional development, and supporting the growth of the UK coaching community.
The partnership brings together BTCA’s long-standing role as a national coaches’ association with My Tennis Coaching’s evidence-informed approach to practice design, coach development, and applied learning.
As part of the collaboration:
- BTCA members will receive exclusive discounts on My Tennis Coaching workshops, courses, and events
- BTCA membership and conference opportunities will be promoted through My Tennis Coaching’s UK-based workshops, platforms, and communications
- Both organisations will collaborate on events, learning initiatives, and conference support
- The partnership will remain non-exclusive, flexible, and coach-focused
The agreement reflects a shared commitment to moving beyond one-off CPD experiences and towards learning formats that support real change in coaching practice.
Quotes
Steve Whelan, Founder of My Tennis Coaching, said:
“This partnership is about doing coach education properly. We know from both research and experience that meaningful change doesn’t come from ticking CPD boxes — it comes from supported learning, reflection, and collaboration. Working alongside the BTCA allows us to reach more coaches while staying honest about what actually improves practice.”
Paul Braithwaite, Chairman of the British Tennis Coaches Association, added:
“The BTCA is committed to providing real value for our members, and this partnership aligns strongly with that aim. My Tennis Coaching brings a modern, evidence-informed perspective that complements our work, and we’re excited to collaborate on initiatives that support coaches at every stage of their development.”
Looking Ahead
The partnership will initially focus on workshop delivery, membership promotion, and conference collaboration, with scope for future joint work in areas such as coach education pathways and junior coach development.
Both organisations see the agreement as a long-term opportunity to strengthen the coaching landscape through cooperation, not competition.
